Crime Alert - Burglary |

Dear residents,
Humberside Police are investigating a report of a burglary on RIVERSIDE DRIVE, CLEETHORPES. The incident occurred between 00:30 and 01:00 hours on Sunday 6th September 2026. The offender approached a residential property and gained entry through an insecure property door. The suspect was disturbed and left the property without taking anything. The suspect was arrested nearby a short time later by police.
If you have any CCTV footage (including video doorbell), saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have any information about the offenders please contact the police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting occurrence ref: 26*126051.
Remember to keep your own property secure to reduce the opportunity for thieves, remember WIDEN. You can watch a short video on WIDEN here: WINDOWS: Keep your windows closed and locked. INTERIOR: Put your interior lights on a timer or smart bulb. DOORS: Lock your doors at all times. Double or deadlock your doors with bolts or chains. EXTERIOR: Put your exterior lights on a sensor (preferably dusk to dawn). NEIGHBOURS: Keep an eye out for neighbours and report anything suspicious to Police.
Ensure your house keys and vehicle keys are secured within the property and vehicle locked at all times. If you have a burglar alarm ensure it is set and working.
